Saif M. Khan, Esq.
Founder & Principal Attorney, Khanections Law, PLLC
Saif M. Khan, Esq., is the Founder and Principal Attorney of Khanections Law, PLLC, a firm dedicated to guiding individuals, families, and businesses through the complex world of U.S. immigration with a strategic focus on investment-based and employment-based pathways. With a unique background that bridges military service, government leadership, and legal innovation, Mr. Khan brings unmatched dedication and experience to every client relationship.
An immigrant from India who proudly naturalized while serving in the U.S. Army, Mr. Khan understands the immigrant experience on a deeply personal level. His service as a Combat Engineer in Iraq earned him multiple honors, including the Army Commendation Medal and Combat Action Badge. This commitment to public service carried into civilian life through a distinguished career in the federal government, where he held senior positions at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and the U.S. Selective Service System, where he most recently served as Chief of Staff.
At the VA, Mr. Khan provided legal counsel on high-level Congressional and interagency matters, and served as a lead policy coordinator on White House initiatives related to naturalization, legal aid, and reintegration of formerly incarcerated individuals. His leadership helped break ground in interagency data sharing between the VA and the Department of Defense, advancing efforts to protect veterans who had served in the US military from deportation to foreign countries after they had served their sentence. In recognition of this work, he received the League of United Latin American Citizens' Presidential Medal.
At the Selective Service System, Mr. Khan spearheaded enterprise integration efforts and workforce modernization, helping the agency earn national recognition as one of the top 10 federal agencies to work for in consecutive years. He was honored with performance awards in 2023, 2024 and 2025 for his contributions.
Mr. Khan also served as General Counsel of the American Veterans Committee, where he advocated for veterans’ rights both domestically and internationally, earning the World Veterans Federation Medallion for his work. He also founded Khanections, LLC, a consulting firm that supported clients with technology-driven solutions and strategic outreach.
Mr. Khan holds a Juris Doctor degree from The George Washington University Law School, a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of San Francisco, and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Virginia Commonwealth University. He is admitted to practice law in the District of Columbia.
Fluent in English, Hindi, Urdu, and Kannada, Mr. Khan is passionate about immigration law, equity in public policy, and leveraging legal innovation to empower others. His personal journey—from immigrant to Army veteran to attorney—fuels his mission to help clients build their American dream.
